Our class researched different Ethnic groups and what they brought to America through immigration. The class did a great job researching and putting their information together on a poster to share with the class.

Museum to Go with Raven Hill
Cheri Leach from Raven hill brought us their Museum to Go program once again this year. The kids are able to use hands on materials to learn and review science concepts they learn from K-6 grades.
Westward Movement
As we work on the theme of Movement in Social Studies, students read about different types of movement. They took notes and then reported back to the class. The learned about the push and pull factors in California, Ohio, the Great Plains and Oregon. They were excited to hear information we had previously discussed as well.

Snowshoe Adventure!!!
Our 3rd and 4th grade classroom ventured out on this cold March morning to have a snowshoe adventure. A fantastic time was had by all!! We split up into two groups and after our adventure, the instructor for the 4th grade group commented that we were one of the best groups she had ever taken out. Not only did they do a great job walking in their snowshoes, only a few accidents, but she also heard very few complaints. Go 4th graders!!!! Alanson Proud! :)

Raven Hill Challenge Day
Students were challenged to make a magnet mover. They were given the option of many
different objects and had to work as a team to create something that would move their magnet from point A to point B. Every team passed their challenge!! A few teams came up with similar ideas but overall they all ended up with unique projects that did the job. Thank you Raven Hill for coming to our classroom.
