Picture Day is tomorrow!!!!!!

Work Stations

Work stations give students a chance to practice their skills, while also giving me a chance to work with students individually. We rotate through an assortment of stations that enrich students learning in reading, writing, math, social studies and science. They will be able to use the SMARTboard and iPad once all centers are up and running. 

 

Writing Notebooks

Students took a few minutes out of the day to make a collage on their writing notebooks. The idea is to create a cover that describes who they are and what they like. Throughout the school year when they have writers block, they can take a look at their cover and look for inspiration for their next writing piece. The covers came out great!!

  

Writing Workshop

Today we worked on developing a main character from a previously written story. Many students did an outstanding job developing their characters both internal and external. They also worked to make connections between the two.
