Mackinac Historic State Park Visit

We had a fabulous time when the Mackinac Historic State Park visited our classroom. Both third and fourth grade had a wonderful time learning about Michigan History and getting involved in some cool hands on activities as well. :)

Life Science
Our plants from the Agriscience class are growing very nicely in the classroom. To continue our learning on living things we started a science lab on Thursday to determine how much water plants need to grow. We filled three plates with beans and continued to water them each differently. Plate A was watered lightly while the beans on plate B were covered in water. After that we left the beans on plate C completely dry. Each student made predictions and we will be keeping an eye on how each plate of beans continues to grow. Check back for updates!!

Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day from our class to you!

Snow, snow and MORE snow!!

One of the few days we have been able to go outside the past few weeks, due to the cold temps! The kids loved it. They also enjoyed having two hills to slide down from all the fresh snow we've received. :)

Visit from the Agriscience class

We had an awesome visit from our high schools Agriscience class on Friday!! They brought plants for each 4th grader, the materials to plant and taught us how to plant and take care of them as well. Both the 4th grade and the high school students had a great time. Our plants are now soaking up the sunshine by our window and will be taken care of until springtime. Mrs. Magill's class said they would be back to check on our plants and see the growth. Thanks for coming in and teaching us our plants and what they need to live!!
